Basics:

The Waseda Business Association was founded in early 2008, formed in hopes of creating a platform through which students of Waseda University could interact with and exchange opinions, experiences and ideas where business-related areas are concerned. Having grown steadily in membership, the Association now comprises students from vastly diverse backgrounds, with expertise ranging from foreign exchange to information technology to luxury marketing.

What We Do

The Waseda Business Association aims to facilitate the exchange of business oriented knowledge and information sharing - amongst students, through regular discussions and debates held during general meetings; and between students and professionals, through the organization of various events and talks.


Where We Come From

Our members are all students of the Waseda University (早稲田大学), and while most of our members study in the School of International Liberal Studies, we have members from other departments of the university as well.  Our members are not limited to full-time Waseda students - visiting and exchange students participate in our activities regularly, and also undertake significant roles and duties in the Association. We are also a highly diversified group - our members come from all over the world, with an array of different backgrounds and experiences.

Departments:

  • Finance: The Finance Department aims to deepen members' understandings of the financial sector through sharing information and engaging in real time market activities. We aim to:   

1- Find funds by:
- Corporate sponsorship
- School sponsorship
- Wasedasai and other events
- With the Portfolio
- Conference's fees/Membership

2. Build WBA portfolio
- The long term purpose of WBA
- Invest the profit in Events/Reinvestment/WBA good

3. Enhance our knowledge in the financial districts
- Attending/Organizing meetings/conferences
- Share our experience in Bourse/Forex
- Research on Finance
- Presentation on Finance
- Learn/courses about financial investment (Bourse or Forex)

           

          • Internal Affairs: The Internal Affairs Department mainly manages the Association's internal operations, such as overlooking the preparation of activities and coordinating internal meetings and interaction.

          • IT: The IT Department is in charge of the maintenance and development of the Association's technology related aspects, such as the website and internal communication services.

          • Marketing: The Marketing Department is responsible for coming up with strategies to efficiently market and advertise the Association, its brand, and the various events it hosts.
